If you are a Cardiac Monitor Tech who's interested in working for a regional leader in healthcare, delivering compassionate care and improving the lives of those in our communities, join the Loyola team and become Loyola Strong!What you'll do:Continuous visual alertness without distraction of a computer screen containing 12-16 active patientsRemain alert to 12-16 active patients at all times while on duty; anticipates, recognizes and addresses harmful behaviorsMonitor patient behaviors and movements via closed circuit camera with pan/tilt/zoom capabilitiesVerbally redirect patients over digital 2-way audio device. Immediately alerts nursing staff as necessaryMaintain calm, respectful, empathetic, and professional tone while verbally communicating with patients, staff, and fellow colleaguesMeet the expectations of nursing staff in order to keep patients safeProvide detailed shift-to-shift report on patient activity to colleagues and nursing staffWhat you'll need for this job:Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent requiredMental capacity to verbally interact with 12-16 active patients in various levels of distress, and maintaining calm, focused demeanor while on dutyAbility to work 12 hour shifts in a 24/7 healthcare environmentAbility to work weekends and holidays, as requiredAbility to orally and in writing, report on patient activity, as neededBasic Computer skills required, and will accompany on the job learningExperience working in healthcare preferred, but not requiredCompensation:Pay Range: $16.50 - $22.11 per hourActual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.Benefits:Click or copy URL to your browser CommitmentRooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
