The Window Guys LLC is growing, and we are looking to hire 1–2 experienced installers immediately.
We are a growing residential exterior remodeling company serving the Chicagoland area. We specialize in window and door replacement, along with a variety of exterior home improvement projects.
We are looking for dependable, hardworking installers who have the skills and experience to complete our projects properly and professionally from start to finish.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time

START DATE: Immediate
ABOUT THE POSITION
The ideal candidate is an experienced residential construction or remodeling professional who can confidently perform window and door installations and handle the various tasks required on a jobsite.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, pays attention to detail, works efficiently, and can work independently as well as as part of a crew.
This is a hands-on position. Our installers are expected to be able to evaluate jobsite conditions, solve problems as they arise, and complete work to a high standard.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Remove and replace residential windows and doors
• Install replacement windows, patio doors, and entry doors
• Properly measure, prepare, level, plumb, shim, fasten, insulate, and seal windows and doors
• Perform interior and exterior finish work associated with installations
• Install and repair exterior aluminum/vinyl trim, capping, and flashing
• Perform caulking and weatherproofing
• Remove and dispose of existing construction materials
• Perform minor framing, carpentry, and structural repairs when required
• Install and repair soffit, fascia, siding, gutters, and other exterior components as needed
• Work with a variety of hand and power tools
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
• Protect customer property and maintain a professional appearance while working in occupied homes
• Follow project specifications and installation requirements
• Identify jobsite issues and communicate them to management before they become problems
• Work safely and efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship
DESIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
The ideal candidate will have experience with several of the following:
• Residential window installation
• Patio door installation
• Entry door installation
• Finish carpentry
• Exterior trim and aluminum/vinyl capping
• Siding installation
• Soffit and fascia
• Gutters
• Framing and general carpentry
• Caulking and weatherproofing
• Drywall and interior finish work
• Use of hand and power tools
• Reading measurements and basic job specifications
• Diagnosing and solving jobsite problems
QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous residential remodeling, construction, or window/door installation experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to safely lift and handle windows, doors, and construction materials
• Ability to work from ladders and at various heights
• Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners and coworkers
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Must take pride in workmanship and leave jobsites clean and professional
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are not simply looking for someone who can install a window.
We are looking for a well-rounded installer who can walk onto a jobsite, understand what needs to be done, work through unexpected conditions, and complete the project correctly.
A strong candidate should be comfortable picking up a tool and figuring out how to solve a problem rather than waiting for someone else to do it.
