Senior AWS Cloud Transformation Architect

Location: Remote

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned AWS Cloud Architect to lead enterprise-wide cloud transformation initiatives and accelerate the modernization of business-critical applications. This role is focused on reimagining legacy platforms and delivering modern, cloud-native solutions that improve scalability, operational efficiency, and application performance.

As a key technical leader, you will define cloud architecture standards, establish automation-first practices, and guide the evolution of traditional applications into highly resilient microservices-based ecosystems. You will work closely with engineering teams, stakeholders, and implementation partners to ensure successful execution of modernization programs on AWS.

What You'll Be Doing

Cloud Transformation & Solution Design

• Develop future-state cloud architectures for applications currently running in traditional on-premise environments.
\n
• Lead large-scale modernization efforts utilizing AWS best practices and modernization frameworks.
\n
• Design migration strategies that move organizations beyond basic infrastructure migration toward fully optimized cloud-native solutions.
\n
• Evaluate existing application landscapes and create transformation roadmaps that improve agility, reliability, and cost efficiency.
\n
• Facilitate architecture reviews, modernization assessments, and technical discovery workshops.
\n

Infrastructure Engineering & Automation

\n
• Establish Infrastructure as Code standards across the organization using AWS CDK and TypeScript .
\n
• Create reusable deployment frameworks and architecture patterns that promote consistency, security, and operational excellence.
\n
• Build automated delivery pipelines that support continuous integration, testing, compliance validation, and deployment.
\n
• Eliminate manual provisioning processes through scalable automation and governance controls.
\n

Platform & Application Modernization

\n
• Drive modernization initiatives involving:
\n
• Amazon ECS with Fargate
\n
• AWS Lambda
\n
• Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL
\n
• Amazon S3
\n
• Support migration efforts from legacy application stacks and traditional database platforms to modern AWS-native services.
\n
• Promote containerization, microservices adoption, and serverless computing where appropriate.
\n

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

\n
• Act as the primary cloud architecture advisor for modernization programs.
\n
• Provide technical oversight for third-party implementation teams and consulting partners.
\n
• Guide engineering teams on cloud-native design principles, architectural best practices, and DevOps methodologies.
\n
• Partner with business and technology leaders to align cloud initiatives with organizational goals.
\n

Required Experience

\n
• Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud architecture, or enterprise technology environments.
\n
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience leading AWS migration and modernization engagements.
\n
• Demonstrated success designing enterprise-scale AWS solutions and transformation strategies.
\n
• Strong background in application modernization, cloud adoption, and platform engineering.
\n

Technical Skills

Must-Have

• Advanced expertise with AWS CDK (TypeScript) .
\n
• Deep knowledge of AWS architecture, automation, and cloud governance.
\n
• Experience designing solutions using:
\n
• Amazon ECS/Fargate
\n
• AWS Lambda
\n
• Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL
\n
• Amazon S3
\n
• Strong understanding of CI/CD implementation and DevOps practices.
\n
• Experience working with AWS modernization methodologies and transformation programs.
